The Festival events take place around the centre of Dartmouth with the main focus being on the Embankment, Boat Float, Royal Avenue Gardens and the Market Square. If you are coming by car, we strongly advise the use of the Dartmouth Park and Ride due to the very limited general parking in the Town. Hopefully the following guidance will help make your visit as enjoyable as possible.
Park & Ride
Without doubt, Dartmouth Park and Ride offers the most convenient way to visit the Food Festival. The service is operated by Stagecoach on behalf of South Hams District Council. It runs from the car park just outside Dartmouth on the A3122, where it joins with the A379 by Lidl and Sainsbury’s supermarkets.
Most of the Park & Ride buses have a low floor access for accessibility and Dogs are permitted on the park and ride bus
Use the postcode TQ6 0JL to find the Park and Ride location
Full details including timing and prices can be found on the South Hams Dartmouth Park and Ride Website at Dartmouth Park-and-Ride
Taxis
Rather than wait for a bus to return to the Car Park, Taxis will also pick up from the North Embankment and take you to the Park & Ride for approximately £5.
Mayor’s Avenue Car Park
There is very limited Parking in the Mayor’s Avenue Pay and Display Car Park due to most of the places being taken by residents and Food Festival Traders. Should you be lucky enough to find a space, parking is limited to 4 hours.
