Volunteers
Want to Volunteer?
Whatever your talents, we can use them…
You can volunteer for an hour or the whole three days of the Festival, or even help at pre-Festival events.
It’s a great way to meet new friends and learn new skills.
The roles are numerous and fun, volunteers usually work in pairs and although many return year after year, we always need new and enthusiastic people, no experience needed.
The list below gives an idea of the opportunities:
Meet and Greet, Park & Ride Management, Information Point Gurus, Merchandise Sales:
No matter how good the town’s signage, visitors will still ask where the main venues are, along with the toilets and car parks. Your role will be to smile sweetly and send them in the right direction whilst trying to sell festival merchandise.
Clean Up Team:
Really what it says on the tin, ie. a team of people who ensure that all the marquees and venues are spic and span during, and after, the event. It’s not the most glamorous role but it is fulfilling and you’ll be loved for doing it
Assistants for:
Chef Demos, Cookery Workshops, Drinks Seminars, Eat Your Words Sessions, Special food & tastings events
Organising Committee:
And last, but dare we say, not least, if you are able to offer some of your time year-round and have amazing organisational skills and we’d love to hear from you.
We meet regularly, pool our skills and generally keep a multitude of plates spinning.
