Volunteering over the Festival weekend is great fun, the atmosphere over the 3 days is so friendly you’ll love being a part of it!
Volunteering with Us
- Volunteering can involve you for as little as an hour or longer if it suits your circumstances.
- Many of our volunteers return year after year but we always need new and enthusiastic people to join the happy throng.
- It’s a great way to meet new friends especially if you are new to the Dartmouth area.
- Volunteers usually work in pairs. Some of the roles may be more attractive that others but doing a little bit of everything might be the answer!
- We also negotiate with our exhibitors to donate small perks for our volunteers which may include vouchers for free coffee and other delicious treats!

Volunteers
Typical Roles
Assistants for:
- Chef’s Theatre, Cookery Workshops, Drinks Seminars, Food & Drink Tastings. These sessions will need people to meet & greet, prepare tasting samples, clear tables and tidy venue, wash up, set-up for next session.
Parking Assistants
- In Royal Avenue Gardens for Exhibitor parking and at Leisure Centre to co-ordinate presenters who have booked the Chauffeur service.
Bandstand Information Point Assistants:
General help and giving out information
Merchandise Sales Assistant
- Selling on the busy stall in the Retail tent on the South Embankment.
General Clean Up Teams:
for keeping tented areas tidy and safe from a health & safety point of view. Very rewarding!
