The original Rockfish seafood restaurant opened in Dartmouth in 2010 and overlooks the spectacular river Dart. The restaurant is situated on the South Embankment and you can find our Dartmouth Takeaway nearby on Lower Street to get your fish & chips to go and enjoy views of Bayards Cove. Bring the family for freshly caught, sustainable local fish landed that day and cooked to order for you. During the summer you can sit outside in our covered outdoor eating area on the Embankment overlooking the yachts and order your food and drinks direct to your table on our new order and pay app.
As well as the award winning Rockfish and the Seahorse restaurants in Dartmouth, Mitch has 7 other Rockfish restaurants in Devon and Dorset along the coast, all serving great seafood. The restaurants were born out of a passion for wanting to create something between the high end city fish restaurants and fish and chip shops, something that made the wonderful produce of our island nation more accessible to everyone, especially families. Eating seafood feels like the right thing to do by the seaside and so the waterside locations add to the experience, on balconies overlooking the harbour, terraces by slipways and decks by the side of marinas, the spaces give you a taste of coastal life.
The Seahorse, one of a kind, was opened in 2008 and is twinned with its spiritual sister restaurant in Venice on the island of Burano, Al Gatto Nero. The produce and attention to detail of the food, the hospitality and warmth of welcome, the long lunches, buzz and feeling of community spirit makes the whole so much more than the sum of its parts.
The original ideas of making our seafood more accessible, less intimidating, more joyous to the people of the UK still stand and is brought to life further with Rockfish now having its own boat, its own retail fish market and delivering chef prepared seafood direct to homes nationwide.
Mitch himself has won a bunch of and accolades including Tatler’s restaurateur of the year, an honorary business degree at Plymouth university and a lifetime achievement award from the Herald Express; he has authored 6 cookbooks, is an advocate for the Marine Stewardship council and just last year co-founded the Devon Environment Foundation. He lives in Brixham by the waterside with his wife Pen and occasionally some of their 5 grown up children
The Seahorse Restaurant specializes in seafood and is situated on the banks of the River Dart in Dartmouth. Lucky to have some of the best fish and shellfish in the world landed here much of which is cooked over an open charcoal fire.
In addition to the full menu they offer a 2 course menu for £20 which is served at lunchtimes and until 7pm excluding Saturday night. There is also an extensive wine list of over 180 bins, all carefully chosen for seafood and we open a selection each day to serve by the glass so there is always something different to try.
With a warm atmoshpere and friendly service, families are most welcome to dine with here, and if there is any other attention you may require whilst eating here please just let them know, they can even organise a comfortable boat across the river if you miss the last ferry.

We were founded in 2017 with the aim of bringing the best British and Irish artisanal cheeses to London’s iconic Borough Market. We work directly with each of our cheesemakers to understand the special history, seasonality and terroir of each cheese and we have built strong relationships with some of the best cheesemakers in the UK, such as Quicke’s, Cropwell Bishop and Cornish Gouda and Cashel and Corleggy in Ireland. Having these close relationships allow us to offer a unique experience to our customers bringing each cheese to life. When we decided to broaden our range to include charcuterie, as a natural partner to cheese, we were able to apply the same principles to quickly establish relationships with award winning British charcuterie makers Trealy Farm and Tempus.
With a solid focus on providing friendly and knowledgeable service as well as high quality produce we have been able to quickly establish a loyal customer base. Running popular stalls in some of London’s best local farmers markets such as Herne Hill, Crystal Palace and Horniman market in south London, Victoria Park in the east and Alexandra Palace in the north.
Putting this relationship at the heart of what we do led to us being voted Slow Food UK Cheesemonger of the year for 2019 and 2020. This also became crucial during the pandemic as we were able to successfully launch an online delivery service quickly, building on already existing customer confidence. CAFE ALF RESCO

Dartmouth Fine Foods offer bespoke catering for any size event from a small Canapé party of 20 to grand weddings for 200. They also offer contract catering and are working on a line of top class ready meals for customers and businesses for re-sale.
Serin Aubrey started his time in Dartmouth opening the Anzac Street Bistro, a much loved and successful restaurant in the centre of Dartmouth, but after 11 successful years Serin decided to have a change and set about this new business venture with old friend Simon Entwistle and Dartmouth Fine Foods was born. With between them more than 40 years experience in different aspects of the catering trade, Serin and Simon bring a whole heap of knowledge to the Food Festival and continue to steer it on a steady path.
DARTMOUTH YACHT CLUB
Dartmouth Yacht club is a community water sports and social club situated in the centre of Dartmouth fronting the beautiful River Dart. Our members enjoy dinghy sailing, cruising, paddle sports and motor boating. Everyone is welcome, residents and visitors, boat owners and non-boat owners. The club is also open to non-members for food and drink. We have wonderful event spaces available for hire.
We have low membership fees, many club boats are available for use by members, plus a good bar, restaurant and social events

Michael Sutton’s Cellar is a small Wine Merchant & Shipper with a shop just outside Dartmouth in the beautiful Blackpool Valley. Today, the business is run by Jonathan and Suzie Sutton having taken it over from Jonathan’s late father, Michael Sutton. Michael began selling wine having retired from farming in 1985. The cellar list consists of about 100 wines from all over the world. We are open every day and most weekends. We have monthly Open House Events when anyone can come and taste our wines for free. These are very popular and we encourage everyone to try something new and not to be nervous about choosing wine. We also run a Wine Education Programme throughout the year with a great variety of guest speakers.

Villa Sandi’s long history, tradition and devotion to winemaking not only marks them as an iconic premium Prosecco producer, but their extensive knowledge and expertise has also contributed to the incredible rise of Prosecco over the last decade, allowing this Italian treasure to become one of the most appreciated wines all over the world.
In the north of Venice, at the foot of the hills of Treviso, between the beautiful Prosecco wine country and the vineyards of DOC Montello, lies the spectacular Villa Sandi winery. Famous as much for its top wines as it is for its deep cultural connection to the region, the quality and presence of Villa Sandi’s wines is perfectly embodied in its palatial villa at the heart of its estate. An emblem of the surrounding area, the heavenly white, 17th-century columned neoclassical structure of Villa Sandi is the winery’s headquarters, surrounded by a lush green landscape of fertile fields and agricultural excellence.
Adorned with classic pieces of Italian art and sculptures – namely that of famous Venetian sculptor Orazio Marinali – the villa is not just part of Treviso’s cultural heritage, but a successful example of the marriage between art and agriculture that characterised the Venetian landscape of past centuries.
And below their opulent villa, the landscape’s history continues, with several kilometres of underground tunnels from World War I. Once used by the Italian army, they now provide the perfect resting place for ageing wine.
This intriguing ageing location only highlights the strong relationship between man and environment, with prestigious crus like Cuvée grown in Villa Sandi’s strategically laid-out vineyards that take full advantage of the breeze and sunlight of the gently undulating landscape here.
