Join Rebecca, Charlie & Dan to discover the art of food and wine pairing. The theme for this year is ‘Herbal nuances’. Enjoy a delicious selection of 5 wines expertly paired with 5 herbal canapes during this session. Hosted by Wine Expert Rebecca Mitchell + Chefs Charlie Ramsdale & Dan Teague of The Cellar Door Catering Company.

Meet the presenters

Rebecca Mitchell

Drinks Seminar Co-Ordinator

Rebecca Mitchell is delighted to be the Drinks Seminar Coordinator for this year’s Dartmouth Food Festival.

Rebecca is an inspiring wine professional, drinks consultant, copywriter, competition judge, and educator with 29 years of wine trade experience. She is a certified sommelier with the Court of Master Sommeliers and a certified educator for the Wine & Spirit Education Trust.

Rebecca’s wine career began in Bordeaux. She has previously worked in global wine tourism and for a UK wine importer, before becoming a Drinks Consultant for independent hotels and restaurants in the South West. She was the former Head Sommelier at 2* Michelin starred Gidleigh Park Hotel on Dartmoor running an extensive wine cellar and award-winning wine list. Rebecca now teaches WSET wine and spirits qualifications to enthusiasts and hospitality and drinks trade professionals. She hosts private and corporate wine tastings including for The London Wine Academy. Rebecca is a Wine Judge and Panel Chair for various international wine competitions at the IWSC, IWC and WineGB. Rebecca is an ambassador for English wine producers and a member of the Association of Wine Educators . She is an ambassador for Smell Taste , a charity which supports people affected by smell and taste disorders.

Charlie Ramsdale & Dan Teage

Chef

Charlie Ramsdale and Daniel Teage took on the restaurant at Sharpham Vineyard in 2018, and ran it with great success for 4 years, until the relocation of the winery to Sandridge Barton.

They live near Dartmouth where they are now focusing on event catering, private dining, growing produce in their organic no dig kitchen garden and caring for the animals on their smallholding.
