We are delighted to have Cherie back again this year. This very popular and engaging chef from County Tyrone will be showcasing recipes from her book, The Irish Kitchen.

Meet the presenter

Cherie Denham

Chef

Cherie is a cook, shaped by her upbringing on a farm in rural County Tyrone in Northern Ireland. She grew up in tune with the seasons, living frugally, eating seasonally, and wasting nothing. Her grannies and great aunts baked daily, cooking recipes handed down the generations, handwritten on paper scraps.

Cherie’s recipes collect and collate the essence of these memories but add a contemporary twist.

Cherie is Leith’s School of Food and Wine trained, has worked as a junior teacher at Leith’s, has been a private chef and run demonstrations and cookery classes. She has been a contributor to both Country Living Magazine and delicious. The Irish Bakery, is her first book and her second is The Irish Kitchen (release date 23rd October) both published by Montgomery Press. The books’ generous recipes and atmospheric photography pays homage to her rich cultural legacy of her upbringing in Ireland. Cherie is an ambassador for Magimix UK
