Wheelchair access
Festival Market sites on the Embankment, Boat Float and Royal Avenue Gardens together with the Chefs Demo tent and Workshops tents are on the level and suitable for wheelchair and scooter use, although tents may become busy at certain periods. In the tents on the Embankment the walkway through is approx. 2m wide.
The Old Market Square has cobbled areas and a wheelchair user may require assistance. There is also a small step from the pavement down into the Market Square area at certain entry points but there is a ramp at the entry point off Victoria Road and from the car park at the back of the market. The Community Café in the Market Square has an entrance on the level off Charles Street.
The Flavel has lift access to the first floor.
Disabled toilets
Can be found in the Royal Avenue Gardens and in the Old Market Square. There may be a charge of 20p for use of the toilets in the Royal Avenue Gardens or you can use your radar key or get one from the Guildhall on Victoria Road (office hours only, closed on Saturday & Sunday).
Disabled car parking
Blue badge holders have to pay in Mayor’s Avenue Car Park but have one extra hour free. All day roadside parking is allowed if the space is surrounded by broken white lines or 3 hours on double yellow lines as long as this is not causing an obstruction, (except where there is a ban on loading or unloading or other restrictions). Ensure your clock is displayed. This information is given to the best of our knowledge and we are not responsible for any charges/fines incurred.

Most of the Park & Ride buses have a low floor access.
