Dart Music Festival - 11th to 13th May 2018

With just 6 weeks to to go until this year’s Dart Music festival here's an update from our DFF friend and Chairman of the Dart Music Festival, Robin Foale

Some of you may have already seen that we have announced our headline act, Dodgy, and we are delighted they will be playing at the festival. The full line-up is now completed, so keep an eye on our website www.dartmusicfestival.co.uk for all information you need.

For those of you who like to go paper-free, this year we will have a subscription service on the website which allows you to access the times and venues of the acts from your electronic devices.  We are also working towards launching an app for future events, so once again Watch This Space!

We have refreshed the branding for the festival for 2018 – you will start to see it on the website, our social media channels and merchandise. It was designed by local businessman Nick Shillabeer (thanks Nick) and reflects our wonderful town and the passion we have for music – I hope you like it.

In these days of environmental awareness, we are attempting to achieve a ‘Zero To Landfill’ festival, providing branded souvenir plastic glasses that are 100% recyclable to all participating pubs, and joining in partnership with Devon Contract Waste, who’s vision and innovation has led to a solution for dealing with the waste that an event such as ours produces.  We are very excited to be spearheading this new initiative and look forward to transforming the Dart Music Festival into a completely environmentally friendly event.

The Dart Music Festival is a free to attend festival, and we need to raise as much money as we can each year to be able to run it, so we were thrilled that our fundraising night on 24th February at the Guildhall “The Darkside of Pink Floyd” was a sell out!

Our 2018 merchandise will be available soon to buy in advance of May too, so keep an eye on our website www.dartmusicfestival.co.uk or sign up to our newsletter for the latest updates.

As always, we continue to look for willing volunteers to help us run the event – please let us know if you can help with collecting during the concerts, stewarding, running a venue, selling merchandise or generally mucking in – it’s all greatly appreciated, and it is so much fun!
