Matthew Shribman

Matthew is a scientist, environmentalist and presenter, with over 25M video views online, on a mission to make science as accessible as oxygen.

Matthew is a scientist, environmentalist and presenter.

After graduating from the University of Oxford with a 1st Class MChem, he set up a channel called “Science In The Bath”, communicating science (from his bath) to a diverse audience, from science enthusiasts to people who hated science at school.

He now has over 25M video views online, communicating science in a way that’s fascinating, fun and relatable.  Check out his YouTube site here!

Matthew has given talks for TEDx London, UN Ops, London Science Museum, appeared on Blue Peter, Comedy Central, the Today Programme, sold out solo shows across the UK, and filled tents at major festivals like Womad, Shambala and Bestival.

Matthew’s podcast “A Piece of String” is supported by legacy BBC producer and QI co-founder, John Mitchinson. He is a member of the Patagonia Change Makers Community, a Rita Allen Foundation Fellow of the Science Media Awards & Summit, and an advisor to the World Congress of Science & Factual Producers.
