Matt Palmer

Matt Palmer is passionate about food and promoting quality seasonal ingredients.

Matt works with local Devon farmers that work with traditional Devon breeds be they pork, beef or lamb. They follow closely the journey of the animal, how and where they graze and how they are looked after. 

Most of the farmers have moved away from Native Breeds towards larger breeds that might create bigger years but that sacrifices welfare and taste. Coming from a farming and equine background welfare of animals has always been important.

He competed at International 3 Day Eventing for many years and is a fully qualified riding instructor.

Matt then moved to London and established a career in Sales & Marketing in the City before opening his own Gastro Pub & Restaurant near Royal Tunbridge Wells.
