‘Dart the Dart’ is a half-marathon with a difference! A physical but fun-filled foodie event that will see up to 400 runners eat their way along the River Dart, from Totnes to Dartmouth.

The multi-terrain culinary adventure will take place on Saturday 16th May and will feature 13 stops where runners will be able to sample tasters of the best local food and drink  available whilst taking in spectacular scenery.

The event, in partnership with Dartmouth Mayflower 400, will raise vital funds for the Dartmouth Food Festival, a not-for-profit organisation, held in October 2020.

One of our contributors to the event, Sima Cutting, the owner of Totnes based bespoke catering company, The Kitchen Table, will be treating the 400 runners to a delicious mix of small bites – a selection of vegetarian, meat, vegan, fish and gluten free canapés packed with flavour & beautiful to the eye.

Here she shares one of her recipes, Beetroot Blini with Gin-cured Local Fish, Creme Fraiche & Quick-Pickled Cucumber, also one that can be made suitable for anyone gluten free.
