We are delighted to welcome back South Devon Chilli Farm to the festival this year.

A mere 13 miles from our estuary town, owners and co-founders Steve, Heather, Martin and Kaz now grow over 10,000 chilli plants on their South Devon farm. That’s a harvest of 10 tonnes of fresh chillies every year and the inspiration behind the mouth-watering creations whipped up by the farm’s sweet and savoury chefs. As well as growing chilli, the South Devon Chilli Farm has an on-site farm shop and café.

With a celebrity following that includes Masterchef presenter, Gregg Wallace and actress Gillian Anderson, it’s no surprise that –  here at Dartmouth Food Festival HQ, we are rather partial as well. This year, Steve and his team will be selling a range of sweet and savoury products on their stand including Costa Rica 38% milk chilli chocolate. Steve said: “After many requests from milk chocolate lovers for us to produce a milk version of our well-loved chilli chocolate, we’re proud to say that we have succeeded. This delicious milk chocolate with its delicate flavour, provides the perfect backdrop for our Devon-grown chillies. We felt there was a gap in the market for a high quality milk chilli chocolate and we think this chocolate is perfect to fill that gap.”

If all of that has whet your appetite, make a plan to head to the South Devon Chilli Farm this year on the Embankment. If you need a map of the festival, you can download one here.
