Looking forwards to this years Dartmouth Food Festival

Plans are now moving forwards for this years Festival!
Friday 21st October – Sunday 23rd October 2022

Having grown from humble beginnings in 2002 into a first class feast of entertainment featuring workshops, seminars, tastings, competitions, demonstrations and over 120 hand-picked exhibitors (70% of which are from Devon), it truly is the very best that the South West has to offer. Described in The Telegraph as a ‘heady mix of celebrity chefs, parties, food markets, tasting shacks and demonstrations’, the festival is now a landmark event on the culinary calendar. What gives us extra stand out is the fact that we’re a free festival. Anyone and everyone is welcome to come along and take part without being charged an entry fee.

SALCOMBE GIN COMPETITION

‘Create a Cocktail’ Competition

Are you a budding mixologist? Do you have a flair for flavours? Well, here’s your chance to create a cocktail exclusively for the Dartmouth Food Festival.

In collaboration with Salcombe Distilling Co. we are launching a competition to design a new and exciting cocktail which will be sold at the Salcombe Distilling Co. Bar at this year’s Food Festival in October.

The winner (plus guest) will also join Salcombe Distilling Co. on one of their Gin School experience days where you will take charge of a beautiful mini copper still to develop and distil your own 70cl bottle of gin to share.

To enter, simply send your cocktail recipe to cocktailcomp@salcombedistilling.com by September 30th. Three short listed finalists will then be invited to the Salcombe Distilling Co. retail shop in Dartmouth, where they will be given the chance to recreate their entry for a panel of experts to judge.

So dust off your cocktail shakers and get creating.

 

Terms & Conditions  

  • You must be over 18 years of age to enter.
  • Your recipe must include a minimum of one of Salcombe Distilling Co’s. spirits or aperitifs from their full range of Salcombe Gin, Salcombe Rum, or Non-alcoholic New London Light spirits and aperitifs. To view the full range please visit https://www.salcombegin.com/
  • The winning cocktail can be non-alcoholic or alcoholic as both options will be available at the bar during the festival.
  • The main ingredients should be easily sourced and have the option to be pre-batch for the festival bar using simple ingredients.
