My goodness, what a programme of events and great chefs - both local and celebrity!
Hot off the press...
- Tom Parker-Bowles and Matthew Fort are our after dinner speakers at a Festival Gala Dinner at the Dart Marina Hotel that will doubtless be memorable. The night starts with a champagne reception then moves on to a 5-course menu from head chef, Tom Woods, with carefully picked wines for each course. Recently refurbished, the River Restaurant has breathtaking scenery from every window. Tickets are £100 to include champagne reception, dinner, wines and entertainment. The Dart Marina are very generously donating a large percentage of the ticket price to the Festival so dig out your glad rags now and e-mail
to reserve your tickets. Dart Marina Hotel, Saturday 27 October, 7-11pm
- Gina Carter's latest festival update video is now online at http://www.youtube.com/user/dartmouthfoodfest?feature=watch Filmed on the Picnic Boat in Dartmouth, it's full of beautiful sights (Gina being one, of course), blue sky, glistening water, Festival updates and one slightly disinterested dog!
- Dartmouth Steam Railway & River Boat Company's relaxation area - for the first time ever, there's going to be an area on the South Embankment where visitors can sit down, eat, drink and enjoy the atmosphere.
- Omelette Olympics: a chance to beat all known records for making an omelette - just go to the RGC area in Royal Avenue Gardens, register (£1 per entry) and you could walk away with the honour of being the Dartmouth Food Festival's omelette maker eggs-traordinaire
